I never planned to collect quite so many jobs in publishing, but here we are. I'm an award-winning young adult author, a senior editor and ghostwriter at Eschler Editing, and the EVP and COO of Roan & Weatherford Publishing, where I oversee the young adult and romance imprints while trying to keep up with the ever-changing world of book marketing. Along the way, I've worked with traditional publishers, literary agents, and hundreds of incredible writers, which means I've had the privilege of seeing stories from just about every side of the publishing desk.
Whether I'm writing my own novels or helping another author shape theirs, my favorite part is solving story problems. I love untangling messy plots, strengthening characters, and finding the heart of a story. Even more, I love helping writers learn to think like editors without losing the joy that made them want to write in the first place.
When I'm not editing, writing, or wearing one of my many publishing hats, you'll usually find me dreaming up my next book, chatting with writers at conferences, or spending time with my husband, two daughters, and three dogs.
I'm the author of the award-winning AnnaGrey and the Constellation, AnnaGrey and the Red Fox Girls, Little Red Wraith, and the Holiday Magic novels Under the September Sky and the forthcoming The October House.
