Writing for me was, in the beginning, an experiment of sorts, of wondering what it was like to live a different life.
And then I discovered that when arranged in specific lines, stanzas, sentences, and paragraphs, words can create emotions and worlds and even lives, can paint a picture across a page as beautiful as an artist’s canvas.
When I penned my first story at age seven, I had written it with the idea that imagined lives are, in fact, real, if only for the brief period of time we experience them on the pages.
But the more I read, and the more I wrote, the more I came to realize some stories stay with us and they do, in fact, become part of our real lives.
So I continued to create other lives and other worlds, and the characters became my real friends, incarnated in paper and ink rather than flesh and blood.
I can't wait to introduce you to them.
